Nowadays, Morong Miao Village has attracted a large number of Chinese and foreign tourists for its long history and profound Miao cultural connotation. It has also been awarded titles such as “the Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Art”, “the Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Base in China”, and “a Traditional Chinese Village”.
Morong Miao Village, also known as Longbizui Village, is located at the junction of Jishou, Baojing, and Guzhang. Boasting convenient transportation, it is often called the “South Gate” of Guzhang County. There are 13 natural villages in Morong Miao Village, with the Miao people accounting for 90% of the total population. So it is a typical village mainly inhabited by the Miao ethnic group.
In 2023, Morong Miao Village will accelerate the integrated development of culture and tourism so as to upgrade tourism quality, enrich tourism connotation with culture, and highlight regional culture with tourism. It will work hard to establish Morong Miao Village as a 4A-level Scenic Area and promote the sustained, healthy, and rapid development of tourism.
